Noted Infertility and Gynecologic Endoscopy expert, Dr. Sunita Tandulwadkar, has been elected as a member of the Governing Council of the Indian College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ICOG). During her tenure as a council member, Dr. Tandulwadkar has embodied all the tenets of FOGSI as well as its aim to promote training, education, spread of knowledge and research in the field of Gynecology, Obstetrics, Family Welfare, Reproductive Health and other related areas.
As part of her association with FOGSI, Dr. Tandulwadkar is actively involved in National Family Welfare Programs. Through her association with corporate bodies, Central and State Government Health authorities, her work focuses on the implementation of all national programs of family planning.

Apart from being a Governing Council member of ICOG and Chairperson of Infertility Committee of FOGSI (2011- 2013), Dr. Sunita Tandulwadkar has also been an elected board member of the International Society for Gynecologic Endoscopy (ISGE) since 2013. Her tryst with the ISGE allows her access to scientific videos, articles, journals and websites, a vast array of professional networking options with surgeons and experts all over the world, as well as admission to several training courses, educational teaching programs, and workshops organized by the ISGE to aid her in her efforts to innovate further and spread knowledge in the fields of Gynecologic Endoscopy.

Dr. Sunita Tandulwadkar travels globally to share her work and expertise in the field of Infertility and Gynecologic Endoscopy. Her latest lecture, from November 18 to 21, was at the Global Conference on Endoscopy in Vancouver focused on interesting excerpts from her career, rare cases of acute pelvic pain in adolescent age group operated by laparoscopy.

Dr. Tandulwadkar’s expertise transcends far beyond the medical space and has made its way to the world of books. She has recently released the second edition of her bestselling medical book titled ‘Practical Endoscopy: Tips by Experts’, which is a medical compilation featuring contributions from 12 globally accredited Gynecologic Endoscopists who have shared their knowledge through visual and interactive excerpts. The theme of the book is to simplify the process of understanding the otherwise complex nuances and practices of Gynecologic Endoscopy.
About Dr. Sunita Tandulwadkar
Dr. Sunita Tandulwadkar is a leading expert in the areas of Infertility and Gynecological Endoscopy and has been offering specialized services in the field of women’s health for close to 22 years. She is the Head of Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at Ruby Hall Clinic and Chief of Ruby Hall IVF and Endoscopy Department. She is an elected board member of ICOG (Indian College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists), a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), she is also Elected Board Member of prestigious International Organization, International Society of Gynecologic Endoscopy ( ISGE) , representing Asia and a member of All American Society of Gynaecological Laparoscopists (AAGL). She was the Chairperson of Infertility Committee of FOGSI between 2011- 2013. She was the first to start the trend of Laparoscopic Hysterectomy in Pune, way back in 1996 and the first to perform a 3D total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy at Ruby Hall Clinic in 2013.
Dr. Tandulwadkar has been felicitated with numerous awards and accolades from around the world. Some of noteworthy awards which she added to her name include the "Sarvashree" award and Gold medal for her pioneer works in the field of Endoscopy & ART in 2004. She also received Gold Medal twice from Chairman of Ruby Hall Clinic, Dr. K. B. Grant for her dedication & excellence in her field.
Her award winning paper presentations are very rich in content and reflect her depth of knowledge in her fields of interest. Currently she is writing a textbook on infertility “The Art and Science of ART” to be published in 2014.She has also written a review article on ‘ Obstetric outcomes of patients with PCOS, undergoing IVF and ET’ in Journal of Human Reproductive Sciences in Jan-March 2014 edition.
